Foundation Phase

The Foundation Phase caters for boys and girls in Grade 1, 2 and 3.   There are 4 classes in each Grade. 

Academics in this phase includes the 4 learning areas namely: 
    • English
    • Mathematics
    • Life Skills
    • Afrikaans

Additional learning areas include:
    • Library
        The children are taken to the school library once a week and are entitled to choose a book to take home and read.
        We encourage the children to read as much as possible.

    • Computers
        Once a week the learners attend computer class.
        In this class they learn basic computer skills and are encouraged to explore computer programmes

    • Physical Education
        Twice a week the learners attend PE class.    

    • Music
        Learners attend music classes once a week.


 Good work is rewarded with merit awards which are presented in assembly.
Reports are issued at the end of each term.
